Frequently Asked Questions:
1) What will the first session be like?
The first session will be an intake appointment. That means your clinician will gather lots of information about your reason for seeking services and the primary goals you have for therapy. Time will also be spent reviewing the policies and expectations of the therapy relationship. Parent(s) are asked to join at least for part of the intake appointment up until age 18. The clinician will collect information about your family, medical history, work/school/social history. At the end of the appointment, the therapist will share some initial recommendations to start the treatment plan development.

2) Does Developing Minds Behavioral Health accept insurance?
Yes! We are considered in network with UPMC health plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield (Highmark), Aetna, and United commercial plans. If you have a different insurance, you can still see one of our expert clinicians. Our self-pay rates are $200 for intakes and $175 for follow-up visits.
